Overview of the levels:

• A1 – Beginner 

You can understand and use familiar, everyday vocabulary, expressions and phrases. You can introduce yourself and others. You can ask others about themselves and communicate in a simple manner.

• A2 – Intermediate

You can understand sentences and commonly used expressions associated with topics related to your every day circumstances. You can communicate in simple, routine situations dealing with a direct and easy exchange of information on familiar and common topics. You can describe your background, education and immediate surroundings and express your immediate needs in a simple way.

Independent use of the language

• B1 – Intermediate

You can understand the main points of a conversation when clear, standard language is used. You can deal with most situations typically encountered when travelling. You can express yourself simply and coherently regarding familiar topics. You can report on experiences and events and make short statements to justify or explain your views.

• B2 – Advanced

You can understand the main contents of complex texts on concrete and abstract topics. You can also understand specialised discussions and conversations in your primary area of specialization. You can communicate spontaneously and fluently.  You can express yourself on a wide range of topics.
